20. Fortitude

Today's National Bisexual Day, so I figured I'd do something to celebrate. c:

I am not defective. I'm not a greedy whore. It isn't a choice. Do you really think I'd prefer to have my family alienate me? Do you think I'd rather have my friends worry abut me falling in love with them? This isn't a cry for attention. This is who I am and I don't need anyone telling me to keep quiet about it or ignore it because "it's a phase".

I was born in the wrong body. Just because I'm not so rough and tough does not mean I'm any less of a man. Wearing a suit and binding my boobs makes me happier about myself than any praise about how well I look as a woman.

I'm glad I'm one of the lucky ones though. I'm glad my body isn't covered in wounds and head full of loathing and fear. I'm glad I don't have to worry about finding shelter after being thrown out of the house. I'm glad I still have people to talk to. Sometimes.
